Your Challenge

Help bring research to life and drive your career forward with the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), Canada's premiere research and technology organization.

We are looking for a dynamic candidate with great communication and analytical thinking skills as well as a willingness to learn for the role of Advisor, Classification and Organizational Design within Human Resources Branch.

In this role you will join a team of organizational design and job evaluation experts dedicated to customer service and continuous improvement of classification practices and systems.

Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:


University degree from a recognized university in a field relevant to the work to be performed.

  • Experience in all aspects of classification, including job evaluation and the provision of advice and guidance on organizational design issues.
  • Experience with Public Service classification standards and/or a classification accreditation in the Public Service would be considered an asset.

A combination of experience and/or training may also be considered.

  • Knowledge of the key issues and trends in organization and classification.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, policies and tools relevant to organization and classification.
  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize information in a meaningful way, taking into consideration various linkages and the ramifications for the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Behavioural Competencies

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

Salary Range

From $87,995 to $97,813 per annum. 

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
