The Role

We are looking for a Shipper, Receiver and Storesperson to support our Real Property Planning and Management Branch. The Shipper, Receiver and Storesperson would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity. 

 

The ideal candidate would be an individual who is flexible, adaptable, and great at multi-tasking in order to perform the variety of tasks that may be assigned to them. The incumbent would be responsible for the accurate, timely and efficient provision of customer service in the areas of stocked item counter service, shipping, receiving, inventory control, stock rotation, in conjunction with an inventory management system and mailroom duties.  

 

The incumbent may be reassigned on a temporary or permanent basis to other stores or shipping/receiving location in the National Capital Region as and when required to meet service requirements.

Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • Basic* experience serving customers in a store environment.
  • Basic* experience in shipping, receiving, verifying accuracy of shipments and inventory control. 
  • Basic* experience in data entry. 
  • Basic* experience working with an inventory management database such as SAP or any other similar programs.  

 

*Basic – a few months and up to 2 years 

 

ASSETS: 

  • Experience with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
  • Experience as a mail clerk. 
  • Experience with Fork lift/electric pallet Jacks

To have and maintain the physical abilities to perform the duties of this position including the ability to lift/carry up to 45lbs, to twist, bend, and reach.

Compensation

Salary under review 

 

From $40,275 to $51,610 per annum. 

 

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
