We are looking for a Risk Management Coordinator to support our Security Branch. The Risk Management Coordinator would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

 

The Risk Management Coordinator position is responsible for the processes, communication, and data collection for the Security Branch Risk Management (SBRM) team. This role would consist of completing Statement of Sensitivity assessments in collaboration with internal clients and providing administrative support for the risk management team. The Coordinator works in collaboration with other members of the SBRM Team as well as clients. 

 

The Risk Management Coordinator makes optimal use of existing business systems and provides recommendations for the continuous improvement of activities. They provide expertise on practices, systems and tools and ensure all information is tracked, reported and managed efficiently. This position reports to the Team Lead, Security Risk Management. 

Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

College diploma in a relevant field or a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Significant experience providing expertise and guidance on confidentiality, integrity, availability risk requirements for IT Systems in a network, cloud or isolated environment. 
  • Significant experience researching proposed application / system solutions for compliance with Government of Canada security requirements. 
  • Significant experience coordinating and preparation of meetings, presentations, communication materials and reports including group statistics. 
  • Significant experience providing advice and guidance to internal clients in regards to Risk Management processes, and information management. 
  • Significant experience using MS Tools including MS Excel.

 

*Significant is defined as 2 to 6 years. 

 

ASSETS: 

  • Experience providing advice on IM/IT and/or Records Management in a Government of Canada context. 
  • Experience using ticketing systems to log and track request.
  • Experience with Statement of Sensitivity and Authority to Operate process and documentation.

Technical Competencies

  • Solid knowledge of IT Risk Management principles and cybersecurity in a government context.
  • Solid knowledge of Information Management principles in a government context.
  • Basic Knowledge of IT Service management principles. 
  • Ability to read and interpret information regarding information technology applications and solutions.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both orally and in writing.

Relocation

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

Compensation

From $60,143 to $70,963 per annum. 

 

In addition, the incumbent who meets the language requirements will  receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
