We are looking for a Contribution Agreement Officer (CAO) to support the Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP). The CAO would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

As a CAO, you would be using your business and financial acumen, supporting both internal and external clients in the delivery of the CanExport program. You could be working independently and/or as part of a team.
Duties may include but are not limited to: responding to client inquiries, producing financial and statistical reports, administering grant and contribution agreements, amendments, managing contracts to firms and organizations, reviewing claims, processing payments, providing advice and undertaking special projects and assignments.  
 
Travel may also be required from time to time, for training purposes and regional meetings.

Education

Successful completion of secondary school education according to provincial/territorial standards.
 
Candidates with post-secondary education in areas related to the duties of the position may be given preference.
 
Formal training in accounting or financial management or in legal or an equivalent combination of experience and training in related functions is an asset.

Experience
  • Recent experience in developing, amending, tracking and reviewing contractual agreements, financial reports, and/or activity reports for projects or programs.
  • Experience in the interpretation and application of directives, policies or financial procedures.
  • Experience building cooperative working relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, specifically with the use of Excel, Word and Outlook.

Technical Competencies
  • Knowledge of NRC-IRAP’s programs and partners.
  • Knowledge of the Treasury Board Directive on Transfer Payments would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple activities and maintain appropriate records.
  • Ability to apply high level of attention to detail when reviewing and/or preparing documents.
  • Familiarity with MS Dynamics or SAP software would be considered an asset.

Relocation

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

Salary Range

From $58,378 to $68,881 per annum. 

 

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
