We are looking for Hiring Advisors to join our Hiring Services team (HST) within NRC’s Human Resources Branch.

As a Hiring Advisor, you will be in a role that is impactful for NRC by being involved in direct input into the exceptional talent hired.You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering excellent client service and continuously striving to improve hiring practices. You will work closely with an assigned group of passionate clients providing the full cycle of hiring services. You will strive to understand their business, and will act as a strategic partner to advise and influence them on hiring including developing creative and flexible sourcing strategies. This talent in turn makes a difference to Canada. In the HST, candidate care is key: you will work in a team environment where there is constant collaboration and communication with clients and potential candidates both verbally and in writing.

Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

University degree from a recognized university in a field relevant to the work to be performed.

Experience

  • Experience in advising and/or supporting hiring managers with hiring actions (e.g. development of job posters and assessment tools, screening of applications, discussions on approach to hiring students or temporary staff, preparation, presentation of offer to candidates, etc.).
  • Experience in researching, analyzing and interpreting HR information from sources such as policies and legislation to provide advice, guidance, recommendations and to highlight potential risks to clients.
  • Experience working with various sourcing mechanisms to generate a pool of qualified candidates would be considered an asset.

Equivalency

A combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Reliability Status

  • Ability to provide supervision and guidance to an assigned HR resource.

Relocation

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

Salary Range

From $71,642 to $79,519 per annum. 

 

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
