The Role
We are looking for an AS-2 Compensation Advisor to join our team. The NRC is a direct entry department, not served by the Pay Center. Our Compensation Advisors manage a portfolio of accounts and perform all actions related to the compensation and benefits of NRC employees. They conduct research and analysis to ensure the compliance and accuracy of compensation files. They respond to employees’ requests and provide them with information on their compensation and benefits.

Education
Successful completion of secondary education OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.
A post secondary degree may be considered an asset.

Experience
- Experience in the application of policies, guidelines or directives within the Federal Public Service.
- Experience providing compensation and benefits services within the Federal Public Service, including providing advice to clients.
- Experience using Microsoft suite, HR software and leave portal such as Peoplesoft, SAP, or other Web services.
- Experience using different functionalities of the Phoenix pay system.

For this position, the NRC will evaluate candidates using the following competency profile: Management Services
Compensation
AS-2: From $66,713 to $78,715 per annum.
AS-3: From $71,016 to $83,625 per annum.
In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
