We are looking for a senior-career Client Relationship Leader to support our Advanced Electronics and Photonics Research Centre. The Client Relationship Leader would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

 

National Programs and Business Services (NPBS) aligns business professionals to NRC activities, providing business expertise and related support in a coordinated and responsive manner. This centralized flexible approach allows NRC to prioritize and channel resources in order to grow its diverse business in a strategic and pro-active way.

 

The Client Relationship Leader (CRL) will work closely with NRC’s Advanced Electronics and Photonics programs and initiatives to strengthen NRC’s value proposition and external relationships. The CRL will be responsible for strategic market guidance, and development and implementation of engagement plans for targeted clients and collaborators.

 

The CRL is expected to achieve business and collaboration objectives related to assigned programs, including opportunity pipeline management, engagement of potential clients, analysis of client requirements, assessing alignment of client requirements with NRC capabilities, and contract negotiation. The CRL may also structure and negotiate collaboration agreements with various stakeholders.

 

The CRL will also support intellectual property management and leads the commercialization of specific innovations, including structuring and negotiation of licensing agreements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or Business Administration.

 

Masters of Business Administration would be an asset.

Experience

  • Significant and recent experience in stakeholder planning and engagement, especially in photonics and/or semiconductor design and fabrication or closely related sectors.
  • Significant and recent experience in generating and fostering new opportunities in a research or technology environment that have translated into impactful projects or contracts for the organization.
  • Significant and recent experience in researching and negotiating service/collaboration agreements to successful closure.
  • Experience in leveraging intellectual property to address industry and public sector challenges.
  • Experience in communicating both verbally and in writing technology business opportunities to potential and existing clients.

Relocation

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

Compensation

The intent of this hiring action is to staff this position at the RCO-4 level, which is a senior-career level position with a salary range of $126,501 to $138,927. 

 

NOTE: Please note that the full RO/RCO salary scale has five levels. Salary determination will be based on a review of the candidate’s expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level.  As such, the initial salary could be within another level of the RO/RCO salary scale (i.e. above or below the intended level for this position).
