We are looking for a Business Services Advisor (BSA) to join the Business Management Directorate of our National Programs and Business Services (NPBS) Branch. The BSA would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, and Respect, and Creativity.
 
The Business Management Directorate (BMD) develops business reports and provides strategic business-related advice to NRC senior management, is responsible for establishing key business development and Intellectual Property (IP) commercialization policies and frameworks and training research centre-based business teams as required. The BMD also leads NRC’s Business Development Community of Practice (BDCoP) and provides leadership for select cross-functional IP commercialization initiatives.


Reporting to the Director Business Management, you will undertake research, synthesis and analysis of qualitative and quantitative information on bookings, pipelines and key client relationships to provide reports for senior management decision-making; develop presentation and training materials; lead event development, planning and coordination of the BDCoP; and assist the IP Commercialization Lead in managing IP commercialization initiatives and relationships with potential licensees.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business or Public Administration.


An equivalent combination of work-related experience, training and education would also be considered.

Experience

  • Significant and recent experience in client service and/or customer support in a research and technology organization;
  • Recent experience in research, quantitative and qualitative analysis and report and presentation preparation;
  • Experience in establishing collaborative working relationships and managing multiple stakeholder interests;
  • Experience in event planning and management.

 
* Significant and recent refer to at least two (2) years of experience within the past five (5) years.

Relocation

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

Compensation

From $69,087 to $81,221 per annum. 

 

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
