The role

We are looking for a collaborative, analytical, and proactive Business Analyst to join our Reporting & Analytics team. In this role, you will work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, data developers, architects, and other technical specialists to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.

 

You will lead business analysis activities for reporting and analytics initiatives. This includes identifying business problems, evaluating solution options, and providing evidence-based recommendations that deliver measurable business value. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, sound judgement, effective communication, and the ability to build trusted relationships across business and technical teams.

 

Key Activities:

 

  • Develop and maintain business analysis deliverables, including business requirements, user stories, process models, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability documentation. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and identify underlying business problems. Elicit, analyze, prioritize, validate, and document the resulting business and data requirements. 
  • Analyze business processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement. Assess impacts and feasibility, evaluate solution options, and recommend practical, evidence-based business and technology solutions. 
  • Partner with Product Owners and multidisciplinary teams to refine priorities and support Agile delivery. Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions, and ensure business requirements are accurately translated into solution designs. 
  • Support solution delivery through data validation and testing activities. Coordinate user acceptance testing and confirm that delivered solutions meet business objectives and quality expectations. 
  • Provide business analysis expertise and contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices, business processes, reporting capabilities, and the Reporting & Analytics environment through innovation, research, and knowledge sharing.

Education

Bachelor degree in Computer Science from a recognized University or a Technical College diploma in Computer Science or related field. An equivalent combination of education and direct experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing business and data requirements in collaboration with business stakeholders. 
  • Experience conducting business process analysis, data analysis, impact analysis, feasibility assessments, and options analysis to identify business needs and recommend solutions. 
  • Experience developing business analysis deliverables, such as business requirements, user stories, process models, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria, and supporting solution delivery. 
  • Experience working collaboratively with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and multidisciplinary technical teams in an Agile delivery environment, using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms. 
  • Experience using SQL and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) to query, validate, analyze, visualize, and interpret data. 
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering sessions, workshops, or discovery sessions. 
  • Experience supporting user acceptance testing and validating that delivered solutions meet business requirements. 
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Azure Data Factory, Dataverse, or similar enterprise data platforms would be considered an asset. 
  • Experience working in enterprise reporting, analytics, or data warehousing environments would be considered an asset

  • Solid ability to conduct business process analysis, impact analysis, feasibility assessments, and options analysis to support evidence-based decision-making. 
  • Solid knowledge of data analysis concepts, including data modelling, data governance, data quality, reporting principles, and data validation techniques. 
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle. 
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI.

Compensation

From $86,503 to $108,068 per annum.
