We are looking for a vibrant and dynamic Team Coordinator to support our Knowledge, Information and Technology Services Branch. The successful candidate would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.


Working for the Intelligence and Analytics (I&A) team in NRC’s Library and Information Management Services (NRC-LIMS), the incumbent of this position supports LIMS’s role as the National Science Library and provider of knowledge and information to NRC and the Canadian innovation community to ensure that clients have essential information for decision-making, opportunity identification, and world class research and technology development.


The successful candidate will be part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team where communication and teamwork are critical and interactions with clients and partners are frequent.

 

The team coordinator contributes to NRC’s strategic knowledge integration by coordinating others’ delivery, research, analysis, and dissemination of scientific, technical, business and industry information gathered from primary and secondary sources in specific technology areas; works in collaboration with NRC colleagues to assess and deliver services to meet NRC’s needs; and performs supervisory tasks and responsibilities.

Screening Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences, preferably preceded by a science, engineering or business degree.

Experience

  1. Significant* experience in the provision of information services in science, technology and business. 
  2. Significant experience in searching, collecting, and extracting information and data from online systems and the Web to find information in science, technology, patents, and business;
  3. Recent experience in synthesis of scientific, technical and business information and in presenting findings clearly and concisely verbally and in writing;
  4. Experience in negotiating with clients (negotiation skills);
  5. Significant* Experience in managing projects and teams, and coordinating service delivery in a project-oriented, matrix environment.
     

* Five (5) years’ experiences.

Relocation

Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.

Compensation

From $88,379 to $104,312 per annum. 

 

In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
